CHICAGO—November 12, 2007—On October 27 the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) kicked off its 93rd Annual Meeting in Washington, DC. The AAP also previewed its newly redesigned Web site. The Web site is being redesigned with consumers in mind to help them easily gain the information they require in a new and improved format.
Another highlight of this year’s meeting was the Dental Hygiene Symposium.

With over 6,000 attendees, the AAP’s 93rd Annual Meeting was a huge success. Members and colleagues attended meetings and workshops with topics ranging from inflammation to insurance coding. The Academy is looking forward to building upon the success of this year’s meeting when they host next year’s 94th Annual Meeting in Seattle.
